The Director of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office (Toronto) (HKETO), Mr Bill Wong, attended the 2026 Association of Chinese Canadian Entrepreneurs (ACCE) Awards Gala held in Toronto on March 28 and presented the Best Asia Pacific Business Award.
Speaking at the event, Mr Wong said that the Chinese Mainland and Hong Kong present enormous opportunities to Canadian businesses in Asia, and the new development brought about by technological transformation will only create more opportunities.
He highlighted Hong Kong’s unique institutional advantages under the “one country, two systems” framework, coupled with its strategic location as the gateway to the vast Chinese Mainland market, its steadfast commitment as the freest economy in the world, as well as the determination to embrace the latest technological trend to deepen the integration of AI across various industries.
He added, “Looking ahead, technology will be the primary catalyst for continued growth. As the world economy is rapidly reshaped by artificial intelligence (AI), Hong Kong is actively integrating AI across every sector of our economy, positioning ourselves right at the centre of this transformation. This enables a high-growth environment for technology companies and start-ups.”
He emphasised that Hong Kong provides Canadian businesses with an unparalleled platform to seek further growth, and encouraged Canadian entrepreneurs and investors to grasp the vast opportunities Hong Kong offers.
Mr Wong presented the 2026 Best Asia-Pacific Business Award at the Gala to Ms Ann Fu, the Chief Operating Officer of Frobisher International Enterprise, a company based in Vancouver engaging in seafood distribution business. Using Hong Kong as a platform, the company is planning to further expand its business in other Asia Pacific regions.
HKETO has been sponsoring the Best Asia Pacific Business Award since its inception in 2010. The award recognises those entrepreneurs who have made a business success by using Hong Kong as a platform for their business expansion to the Asia Pacific region.
香港經貿處於創業協進會加拿大傑出華裔創業家2026頒獎晚宴頒發「最佳亞太貿易獎」
香港駐多倫多經濟貿易辦事處（香港經貿處）處長王國彪於三月二十八日出席在多倫多舉行的創業協進會加拿大傑出華裔創業家2026頒獎晚宴，並頒發「最佳亞太貿易獎」。
王國彪在典禮上致辭時表示，中國內地和香港為加拿大企業在亞洲提供龐大機遇，科技轉型帶來的新發展將創造更多機遇。
他指出，在「一國兩制」框架下，香港具備獨特制度優勢，擁有通往廣闊中國內地市場的戰略位置；同時，香港亦是全球最自由經濟體，並積極配合最新科技趨勢，推動人工智能在各行各業的深度融合。
他續說：「展望未來，科技將成為推動經濟持續增長的主要催化劑。隨著人工智能迅速重塑全球經濟，香港正積極在各行各業全面融入人工智能，致力在變革核心鼎足而立。這亦為科技和初創企業營造高增長的發展環境。」
王國彪強調，香港為加拿大企業尋求進一步發展提供無可比擬的平台。他鼓勵加拿大企業家和投資者把握香港帶來的龐大機遇。
王國彪於晚宴上頒發2026年度「最佳亞太貿易獎」予富漁國際營運總監傅佳一。該公司設於溫哥華，從事海鮮分銷業務，並正計劃利用香港作為平台，進一步拓展其在亞太其他地區的市場。
「最佳亞太貿易獎」自2010年設立，旨在表揚透過香港作為平台，在亞太地區開拓貿易並取得傑出成就的企業家。香港經貿處為該獎項的贊助單位。
