HKETO promotes Hong Kong as an ideal partner to venture into the Greater Bay Area

Posted in: Press Releases

June 7, 2019

Director of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office (Toronto), Ms Emily Mo, attended the Business Explore and Investment Summit 2019 organised by the Canadian Municipal Business Gateway in Markham on June 7.

In her presentation at the Summit, Ms Mo introduced the enormous business opportunities arising from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area development.  The Greater Bay Area is a very important area in China’s development.  It comprises the two Special Administrative Regions of Hong Kong and Macao, and nine municipalities of Guangzhou.  Its development is a national strategy to further deepen cooperation amongst Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, and fully leverage the composite advantages of the three places.  Ms Mo encouraged attending guests to partner with Hong Kong to grasp the business opportunities arising from development.

About 150 persons attended the Summit.
