The Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office (Toronto) (HKETO) is pleased to sponsor the two performances of the musical entitled “Try to Remember” staged by Dramaone Toronto at the City Playhouse in Vaughan on November 10.
“Try to Remember” is an original play written by renowned Canadian Hong Kong Director Peter Poon about the love stories of three couples from different generations in Hong Kong. The musical will present to the audience many songs that were popular in Hong Kong from the 1960s to 1980s. Through these music journeys, the Canadian audience can learn and understand more about the vibrant art and culture scene of Hong Kong in different eras.
Dramaone is a Canadian performing group founded in 1995 in Vancouver by a group of professional artists mainly from the theatrical field in Hong Kong. Over the years, the group has produced and staged many drama productions with an aim to enrich the cultural life of the people in the community as well as to enhance cultural exchanges between Hong Kong and Canada. The group established its Toronto Chapter (Dramaone Toronto) in 2017 and extended to Calgary (Dramaone Calgary) in 2018.
An artistic talk hosted by Mr Peter Poon and the leading actors of the musical production and a VIP reception were held before the closing performance of “Try to Remember” in the evening of 10 November.
