HKETO Director visits the Richard Charles Lee Canada-Hong Kong Library

Director of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office (Toronto), Ms Emily Mo, visited the Richard Charles Lee Canada-Hong Kong Library of the University of Toronto on January 29 to learn about its operation.

Established in 2008, the library is the largest research collection for Hong Kong and Canada-Hong Kong studies outside of Hong Kong, housing 71 000 volumes, including 2 500 periodical titles, 1 000 reels of microfilm, 7 000 newspaper clippings and an expanding collection of audio and visual materials.

Ms Mo is glad to learn that the library’s resourceful collections offer a wide variety of materials for members of the public in Toronto and visitors to understand more about Hong Kong.  In addition, the library hosts Hong Kong-themed academic seminars throughout the year to enhance meaningful exchanges between Hong Kong and Canada on different aspects.

香港經貿處處長到訪多倫多大學利銘澤典宬

香港駐多倫多經濟貿易辦事處處長巫菀菁於一月二十九日到訪多倫多大學利銘澤典宬,以了解該圖書館的運作。

利銘澤典宬於二○○八年成立,為香港以外藏有最多有關香港和加拿大研究資料的圖書館,收藏品達七萬一千多冊,包括二千五百份期刊、一千多卷微縮膠卷、七千多份剪報以及與日俱增的影音資料。

巫菀菁欣悉利銘澤典宬的豐富館藏,有助增加多倫多公眾及訪客對香港的認識。此外,典宬亦不時舉辦以香港為主題的研討會,以促進港加兩地在不同範疇的交流。
