The Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office (Toronto) (HKETO) hosted a sharing session today (July 11) for summer interns from universities in Hong Kong who are on attachment to local academic/community organisations in Toronto.
The students started the session with a tour of the office building. Afterwards, Director of the HKETO, Miss Kathy Chan, gave a brief introduction of the office to the students and elaborated on the work of HKETO in promoting and facilitating exchanges between Hong Kong and Canada. Miss Chan also briefed the interns on the latest developments of Hong Kong-Canada relations and encouraged them to make the most of this valuable experience in Canada.
The summer interns continued to share their experience in Canada and they actively participated in exchanges with other participants. They all agreed that overseas internship had helped broaden their horizon and better equipped them for future employment.
Before the sharing session ended, Miss Chan also took the opportunity to thank the host organisations for receiving the students in Hong Kong and took a group photo with the participants in front of the HKETO building.
