The Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office (Toronto) (HKETO) hosted a gathering with Hong Kong students studying at different universities in Toronto on February 17.
In her welcoming remarks, Director of the HKETO Miss Kathy Chan first gave a brief introduction of the HKETO’s role and services. She also briefly reviewed the latest development of the Hong Kong-Canada relations.
Miss Chan told the students that Hong Kong is a place full of opportunities. She encouraged the students to return to Hong Kong to develop their careers after completion of their studies in Canada. She added that Hong Kong welcomes talents and professionals from around the world to work in Hong Kong. She asked the students to spread this message to their counterparts.
2017 marks the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Miss Chan invited the students to join a series of celebration activities in Canada that are being planned by the HKETO.
About 25 students joined the gathering.
